These bundles of dried and naturally preserved wheat are perfect for adding to dried floral arrangements along with other natural beauties such as: dried pods, curly willow branches, dried larkspur and salal. Like all wheat, blackbeard wheat stalks can be softened by soaking them in lukewarm water overnight, making them flexible for weaving and braiding. Be sure to keep the heads above the water while soaking, and then allow your completed project to air dry thoroughly before displaying. Blackbeard wheat looks fabulous as a decorative centerpiece when tied with raffia or satin ribbon. Simply tie the bundle of blackbeard wheat loosely into a bunch. Such a beautiful spin on your typical wheat. The photos shown are 100% accurate. I was hesitant to order dried flowers/greenery online but the photos were very accurate for products purchased. I wish they shipped better, the box arrived smushed and was disappointed with how many thistles arrived unattached to stems.

Blackbeard is not as dark as pictured, which is fine by me. They are beautiful. I have ordered all the centerpieces and bouquets for my wedding from your website. We love the natural and rustic look of the wheat and it adds so much authenticity to our viking wedding.
